NightMare # Title#1
My nightmare wasn't very scary in the beginning, but that changed quickly. I was standing in a park. There was no one that could be seen on any of the park benches. It was very dark, and I suddenly realized that I was extremely tired, so I went to sit down on the nearest park bench. As I walked towards it, I heard a chittering of laughter echo from behind me. I swung around! ...I saw nothing. As I turned back around towards the bench, there had now appeared a small creature. It was only about the size of a four year old child. It had pointed ears and short, red fur. In small patches, the fur was gone. Underneath the fur, I saw rotting pink flesh. In the hand attached to one of its strangely long, thin arms, it was grasping a sharp looking knife. I ran away, but now there were tall stone walls surrounding the park. I managed to climb over one section of the wall, but it seemed like it took an eternity. I finally escaped the park to a small road. Panting, I staggered slowly down the road. Gazing back in the direction of the park, I saw the pint-sized creature leap nimbly over the wall. It began running after me. Immediately, I found myself at the door to my house. I ran through the living room, and was followed closely by the chittering, goblin-like creature. I slammed the living room door behind me! The creature reached the door, but it couldn't turn the handle. I was thankful, as my dog was sleeping in that room. From there I ran to the bedroom. As I started to close the bedroom door, I saw the living room door burst into splinters of wood and shards of glass as the creature smashed through it! I closed and locked the bedroom door. I heard my furry pursuer slam into it, then draw back, and slam into it again! It couldn't get through. Relentless chittering came from the living room - then a tearing noise - and a dog whining - then the noise of something heavy hitting the floor! Chittering, then silence. Then came a sound of scratching from the open fireplace in the living room. The chimney there has numerous small holes in it that lead into the attic. After a short while, I heard that same scratching sound! This time it was coming from just above my head. I looked up and saw in the ceiling, a tiny trap door which led into the attic. The dream always ends there...

My nightmare is about drowning. Most people don't think that it's scary at all, but they're wrong. On the night of my arrival at a campground I was vacationing at, I felt something very strange, like a beckoning or a calling. I felt compelled to visit the nearby river dam. I thought I just wanted to be alone so I could think... All of a sudden I heard someone call out my name! I quickly looked around but was not able to see anyone. A few minutes later I heard it again, so I asked who was there! A voice answered and it sounded familiar, like a friend of mine who had died a few years earlier. I asked where he was and he replied, "Down by the water." I approached the water, straining my eyes in an attempt to see him, but he wasn't where I thought the voice had come from. I stepped a bit closer toward the shoreline and pointed my flashlight onto the water. Then I saw my friend's face looking up at me! He was all bloated and puffy! His decaying flesh was this horrible blue and green mesh-like color. I screamed continually as he reached up and pulled me into the dark, icy water with him! He said that he had been waiting soooo long to get me! He then held my head under the water and wouldn't let me come up for air. I was gagging, furiously struggling to free his deadly grip on me so I could surface and breathe! ... But I couldn't - I didn't.

NightMare # Title#3
At the tender age of eight, a dream cast itself upon my life and embedded itself within my neurotic flesh, like death. It began with the taxi arriving at my house (which was truly not out of the norm, considering all my nightmares began with the same taxi). The taxi took me to a castle. I stood upon the steps leading down to the dungeon and I watched from a darkened place, my father unchain a fierce brown-furred beast. My reliable legs quickly carried me away from the unfolding dangers yet to come. I ran up the stairs, slammed the entry door and locked it, knowing that I could not prevent my father's own death. The angry growls of the beast trying to break through the door stung my heart as if a cold icicle had sheathed itself within me. Clothed only by the darkness and crouched like a fallen angel, my life was spared only by the creature's failing eyesight as it eventually rammed and burst through the door. I ran into a room where my "family" (they were spiritually my siblings and more specifically the children), sat mesmerized by the soothing voice of Scrooge McDuck's Irish tone as he sat in a chair telling a duck tale. All eyes turned on me. "You family curse!", their minds judged like witch-hunters. I quickly related the tale of the creature, only to be interrupted by banshees who snatched us up and delivered us to the dungeon! We were fastened to guillotines and lay perfectly still, knowing that one false move could convert us into chopped meat. I freed all by use of my witchery and I, myself, ran out of the castle. Vampires swarmed like vultures in the dusked land as the villagers shrieked and ran. The sun finally rose and melted them away. Then, a prince and princess had a wedding, and white covered the area like the purity of a virgin. I skipped away to retrieve a flower for a "Pocahontafied-gal." I noticed a burrow in the ground before me, like a rabbit's hole but enormous in comparison. Then came that hand taunting my fear; a long furry paw attached to a long furry arm that stretched and grasped my ankle. I fell to my belly and the paw pulled! I awakened from my dream, still upon my belly, and the paw still pulled! As I twisted and struggled and perspired, I saw no one or no thing (living) in my midnight-lit bedroom, but still felt the persistent tug of the paw as it dragged me towards the end of my bed. The creature was under the bed! Too stunned to scream, and much too weary and powerless to run from the inexorably tightened grip of the paw, I reached down with my eight-year-old hand - "Lord, get me through this, don't let him get me!" And I pushed the damn thing off! I quickly curled up in a fetus-like ball, wrapped myself thoroughly in my bedsheets (it's a wonder I could still breathe), and I've slept that way ever since. I'm now a short boy of seventeen...

I'm only 15, and this is a true story that began when I was 13. People keep telling me that this was just a dream but I think it was something else. I was just laying on an old couch that was in my room. I was looking out and into the laundry room by my door. It was pitch black out there and I didn't have my glasses on, so when something appeared to move by my door, I thought nothing of it. After a while, I again saw something moving. Suddenly, I heard a scratching by my open bedroom door! I got a little nervous but thought that it was just my imagination. Nevertheless, I threw my blanket over my head and laid there nervously, trying to endure a cold-sweat. After about three hours of what seemed like an eternity, I decided to look out of my covers. When I surveyed my room, I was startled by a shadowy figure standing silently erect in the doorway! I have seen many ghosts in my lifetime, but this one made me nervous because I couldn't see its face. I just sat there, staring at it. I began to think it was the grim reaper or something, coming to take my soul. I was shocked, yet at the same time in awe of this unknown creature. Surprisingly, it finally moved! In lifting its right arm and motioning with a bloody finger, it obligated me to move towards it. I seemed to have no control of my body as I rose from the couch and unwillingly walked closer to the creature. While standing in front of the scary apparition for a short time, I realized I had regained control of my body and I tried to run! I still couldn't move though! I then blacked out. The next morning I awoke on the couch in my living room (how did I get there?). The next night I sat up holding a crucifix, waiting for the thing to appear again. At about 1 a.m. it came! I held up my crucifix and waited for a reaction. Slowly, the crucifix bent - touched bottom to top - and fell to the floor. After that, the creature disappeared! Ever since, the "spectre" visits once each day at 1 p.m., and each night at 1 a.m.! I still don't know why it comes, it won't talk to me. In fact, it never says a word... (help)

NightMare # Title#5
The worst nightmare I had was when I was 10. It's weird I had such a gruesome dream at such a young age. It all started when I fell asleep on my couch. When I awoke, I was in a room. I remember feeling cold. It was dark all around me... All I could see were these three doors in front of me, each with a number on it. In front of the doors was standing a man. He had a long scraggly body, long white hands with sharp nails and a red face with pointy teeth; not really a man, but rather some kind of demon you would think came from hell. I decided to go through one of the doors, the one labeled #1. Beyond the door was a beautiful room darned with flowers. And there, in a bed, lie my mother, more beautiful than ever. There was a white blanket covering her. She looked so peaceful. The window across from her was open and the sun was pouring in like a waterfall of gold and engulfing her. I turned around when I heard the demon laughing at me. He pointed back at my mother. I turned again to see that my mother was now just a rotting corpse lieing on a bed of dusty cobwebs. I screamed and ran out the door! I kept running, not knowing where I was going! There was no light at whatsoever. I could see absolutely nothing in the black, empty void. It seemed like I ran forever! I finally stopped to catch my breath and look around... Nothing! I then heard the lighting of a match. And then a small but luminous light grew in brightness to eventually show the face of the laughing demon. He wouldn't stop laughing! He just took my hand and led me through another doorway. Behind this door was my old house: one where I lived a long time ago when my parents were together and my family was still happy. I was staring at the house when suddenly, I heard screaming - horrible screams of terror and agony! It was the screaming of my family! "Help me - please!", they cried. Hearing them in such pain made me cry. Then the whole house caught on fire and out came my family, jumping through the windows, trying so hard to escape the fire. My sister came running towards me screaming "help me - please!" the blood streamed down her body like it was running through an open faucet. I saw my family dying right before my eyes! I fell to the ground in tears. I felt a hand on my back - it was the demon! Around him were the bodies of my family. They were lieing there, covered in blood. To my surprise, I then realized I had blood all over me now too! I felt a stinging sensation on my leg. When I looked down, blood was just pouring out of my leg as more and more of my skin instantly decayed and then vanished completely! The stinging climbed upwards through my body and passed through my chest! And just before it got to my head, I'd wake up.
